SET UP A NOODLETOOLS PROJECT - You will use NoodleTools to keep track of your sources and compile your Works Cited.
- LOGIN using your WCASD username (ex - 27BoyleC) and password
- The revalidation password is knights24
- Click on NEW PROJECT
- TITLE your project & select MLA and ADVANCED & click SUBMIT

Sources
1st source - from a database:
- Database passwords are in the Library Schoology group
- To cite sources from databases, follow the directions below each database icon OR access the Library Schoology group for directions and tutorials.
- Other databases can be found on the Library website under Research.
2nd source - from the web:
- Be sure to evaluate websites with a critical eye - not all websites should be trusted!
- Use LATERAL READING to find out more about the website and/or contributor.

- When citing in NoodleTools, select "Website" and then "Webpage." Fill in as much information as you can. Use this CHEATSHEET to help you.
3rd source - your choice:
Your final source MUST be a different source type than your first and second sources.

- Use the Library catalog to find print books and ebooks on your topic.
- To cite print books in NoodleTools, import by ISBN number. Here is a video tutorial that shows you how to import books into NoodleTools.
- ebook passwords are in the Library Schoology group.
- To cite ebooks in NoodleTools, determine if you can export the citation directly to NoodleTools (Gale) or copy and paste (MackinVIA and Salem Press). You may also enter the citation manually after selecting "File, app, ebook" then "ebook." Here is a video tutorial that shows you how to cite ebooks in NoodleTools.
- Find a different source type through one of the databases or through the web.

Download your Works Cited from NoodleTools
CLICK HERE TO LEARN HOW TO PRINT/EXPORT A WORKS CITED FROM NOODLETOOLS
- When you submit your final project, you will also need to submit an accurate Works Cited page.
- When in your NoodleTools project, be sure you are on the SOURCES page.
- Click the PRINT/EXPORT icon on the top of the sources page.
- Select PRINT/EXPORT TO WORD OR PRINT/EXPORT TO GOOGLE DOCS.
- A Word Doc or Google Doc with a correctly formatted Works Cited will download that you may then save.
